Tangent Collective 探针小组
Beichen Zhang is also a founding member of Tangent Collective. Founded in 2021, Tangent Collective is a nomadic artists and curators collective maneuvering in between Canada, China and the US. They incubate cross-disciplinary dialogues and research-based practice centring on issues of decolonization, postcolonialism, global infrastructure, and environmental discourse, fostering regional exchange and dialogues between artists within and outside of the greater Chinese diaspora. Its research-based projects have been presented internationally, with recent appearances including the Jimei–Arles Curator Award (2022), Trinity Square Video (2023), and the Art Gallery of Ontario (2023).

张北辰也是策展与研究小组“探针小组”的创办成员之一，该小组成立于2021年，小组是一个活动于加拿大与中国的游牧性艺术组织。着重当代艺术领域的跨媒介研究与解殖民实践、后殖民生态批判与全球基建研究。从成立之初，小组就研究课题操办50+线上下活动、对谈与分享会。小组的研究项目也在各地展出，近期包括集美阿尔勒策展人奖 (2022), Trinity Square Video (2023), 安大略博物馆 (2023)。
